Through the FREE LOOK Membership Scheme LOOK offers the following services:

LOOK’s Skype Connect Groups

LOOK’s new Skype mentoring group is appealing to young vision impaired people, aged between 9-29, to get involved.

It is part of our larger mentoring project and groups will be split into age categories and interests, giving the opportunity for young people to connect with others a similar age to them.

Skype group members:

Our Skype groups will give young people the opportunity to help and support each other, discussing issues relating to sight loss and tips and tricks to live a full and interesting life.

It will offer the opportunity for young people to chat about anything from music, sport, to arts, entertainment, fashion, school life and relationships. Each weekly chat will be facilitated by one of our trained mentors and will also focus on members sharing their experience about living with sight loss.

Skype group mentors:

We will recruit mentors aged 18 – 29 to train and to lead the Skype groups.

The benefits of being a Skype group mentor are: develop leadership, teamwork and communication; grow in confidence, receive training and guidance; increase employability.

OutLOOK Audio Magazine Service
