RNIB are running their third annual Family Weekend.  The aim of the weekend is to bring families with children who are visually impaired together in a relaxed and informal setting, so that they can share experiences, learn from each other, have fun and develop peer group support systems.  This year the family weekend will be located in Stockton-On-Tees (North East England).  All families will be staying in a 3+ star accommodation at the Best Western Parkmore Hotel and Leisure Club.  Contact Emma Hogan on 0113 2748855 or email Karen.Boyes@rnib.org.uk for more information

Otley

Saturday 12 July

RNIB and Otley Sailing Club, Sailing Event.  The days event will consist of

Knaresborough

Saturday 5 July

Henshaws Family Fun Day held at Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre, Knaresborough 10.00am - 3.00pm.

Harrogate

RNIB and Henshaws Horse Riding Event at Folifoot Riding Stables, Harrogate.  The event is for visually impaired children and adults to try their hand at horse riding and looking after a pony for the day.  Activities include grooming a pony, mucking out, riding a mechanical horse and then jumping on to ride the real thing.  Contact Vicky Cheney on 01423 799601 or email Vicky.Cheney@henshaws.org.uk  for more information.
