This year has been like no other, and with so many changes to how we live, study and socialise, students have had a lot to deal with in this first term. Thomas Pocklington Trust’s Student Support Service and LOOK UK have teamed up to host Reflect and Inspire: Student Q&A and Motivational Talk with Lucy Edwards.
Check in with us to reflect on your experiences studying this year, acknowledge the challenges you have already overcome, and help others by sharing your ideas for getting through this crazy time!
We will have a diverse panel dedicated to answering your queries about the situations you have dealt with, decisions to be made, and support to access while at University.
Then let our motivational speaker, social media influencer and journalist Lucy Edwards inspire you with coping strategies, self-care tips and heart-warming positivity, to keep calm and keep going!
Please note: this event is exclusively open to VI students currently studying in higher education.
This event will be hosted on Zoom and meeting details will be provided after registration. If you have any issues or questions with registration please email firstname.lastname@example.org

LOOK UK offer a tailored peer-mentoring service for visually impaired young people which connects VI students with a VI graduate to offer advice, support and guidance based on their own experiences. Our topical online and offline events for young people, parent/carers and professionals aim to empower our community with information and connection. Our events include peer-support groups, youth forums and informative webinars. From these events we create a catalogue of resources housed on our website such as podcasts, webinar recordings and accessible documents on a range of topics including assistive tech, remote learning and VI student Q&A’s.
Thomas Pocklington Trust Student Support Service works to support students with vision impairment into and throughout their time in post-16 education. We offer one-to-one guidance; peer-networking and shared learning for students, their families and professionals; an online bank of resources to provide advice throughout student life; and campaigning and advocacy work on the matters important to students. We want to elevate your voice and help you get the very most out of your time in education.
