Now more than ever we need to promote the wellbeing of our Visually Impaired community. This series of four workshops in collaboration with Dr. Sangeet Bhullar from Wise Kids will focus on how to cope with anxiety during these troubling times and is aimed at parents and guardians of young VIPs.

You only have to register once to participate in all 4 workshops.

The workshops will take place on: 24th March, 31st March, 7th Apr and 14th Apr from 20:00 – 21:15.

The series of 4 sessions will include the following:

Session One

  • What do we mean by mindfulness?
  • The science behind mindfulness practices
  • Our inner world and outer world
  • Perception and meaning
  • A 5-minute mindfulness meditation
  • Working with difficult emotions
  • Closing with a 2-minute mindfulness meditation

Session Two

  • Welcome and checking in with everyone
  • A 5-minute mindfulness meditation
  • Exploring our experiences and uncovering space
  • Listening and addressing daily challenges through mindfulness
  • Closing with a 2-minute mindfulness meditation

Session Three

  • Checking in with everyone
  • A 5-minute mindfulness meditation
  • Practicing mindful listening and connecting in our everyday situations
  • Sharing experiences
  • Closing with a 2-minute mindfulness meditation

Session Four

  • Checking in with everyone
  • A 5-minute mindfulness meditation
  • Exploring acceptance and courage
  • A daily practice – kindness, compassion, and gratefulness
  • Sharing experiences
  • Closing with a 2-minute mindfulness meditation
