Goodbye, Chris!

A fond farewell to Look Mentoring Project Officer, Chris.

Last week we bid a fond farewell to our Look Mentoring Officer, Chris, as he leaves Look to start his teacher training.

We are sad to see him go, but we are excited about his new journey. Chris has been involved with Look since 2018 as a volunteer. He wanted to be a volunteer mentor to younger VIPs – this is at the heart of his work for Look and will be an important part of his teacher training.

Over the last year, he has worked on the Look mentoring project and has run youth forums in Worcester and then online during lockdown, as well as taking part in a whole host of other Look projects.

Chris helps other young people learn more about themselves and achieve not only their potential but he encourages them further into things they never even knew they could do.

Chris is a joy to work with, calm, unflustered, and always ready to find a way to get a project done. We know Chris will be a brilliant teacher – his enthusiasm and love for education is engaging and motivating to everyone he meets. Although he is leaving the Look staff team we know we will keep our connections to Chris through mentoring and we hope he will bring his rugby coaching, love for fancy dress, the Macarena, and a ceilidh to more LookFests and events to come.
