Arts & Crafts Magic

📅 16 April & 28 May – Hereford Vision Links

Our Hereford events began with two lively arts and crafts sessions. Young people, siblings, and parents got hands-on making decorations for LOOKFest, including lantern making and crafting bee sculptures out of willow.

Bowling Fun for Everyone

📅 6 August – Hereford Bowl

We had a fantastic time at our family bowling event in Hereford, where five families, including eight enthusiastic young bowlers, joined us for an afternoon of strikes, spares, and plenty of smiles!

After the games, everyone came together to enjoy pizza and the chance to relax, chat, and connect with other families in the LOOK community.

LOOKFest: A Celebration of Community

📅 25–27 July – Rowlestone Farm, Hereford

LOOKFest was the highlight of the summer! Families joined us for a weekend packed with forest school, crafts, drumming, dance, yoga, storytelling, giant games, and so much more.

Surrounded by friendship and laughter, LOOKFest was a chance for our community to come together, support one another, and celebrate the joys and challenges of life with a visual impairment.

Whether it was sharing stories over mealtimes, joining in with our fantastic activities, or simply chatting with newfound friends, everyone at LOOKFest threw themselves wholeheartedly into the experience. From trying new things to stepping outside their comfort zones, it was a weekend filled with courage, connection, and joy.

Woodland Adventure Family Day at The Cart Shed

📅 29th October – The Cart Shed

We had an incredible day at The Cart Shed in Hereford! From learning to weave willow and going on scavenger hunts, to building dens and roasting marshmallows over the fire – it was a day full of adventure, laughter, and creativity.

This brilliant experience gave families from the LOOK community the chance to connect, have fun, and build confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Inclusive Shopping With New Look

📅 12th November – New Look Hereford

The inclusive shopping night with New Look was a truly memorable experience! Visually Impaired young people joined us for an evening filled with style, support, and friendship. From exploring clothing rails to sharing fashion tips and trying on new outfits, the atmosphere was full of laughter, encouragement, and confidence-building.

The New Look team went above and beyond—listening, guiding, and describing items—turning a potentially overwhelming shopping trip into an empowering, fun-filled evening. Attendees connected with peers and mentors alike, celebrating successes, sharing wardrobe hacks, and enjoying the warmth of a truly inclusive community.

LOOK at the Panto

📅 13th December – The Courtyard Theatre

LOOK Families came together at The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford for an audio‑described performance of Mother Goose, full of classic pantomime fun. Before the show, everyone enjoyed a touch tour where they could explore props and costumes, making the experience even more immersive.

After the touch tour, everyone came together to enjoy lunch and some festive treats, taking the chance to relax, chat, and connect with other families in the LOOK community.

From discovering the world of pantomime to celebrating the festive season together, it was an afternoon of inclusion, connection, and Christmas cheer.
