This free event is dedicated to the mentors, mentees and prospective mentees of the LOOK University Mentoring project.
It’s a unique opportunity to celebrate your involvement with the mentoring project, connect with fellow visually impaired students and graduates, and gain invaluable insights from experienced mentors.
Engage in practical, interactive sessions focused on proactive skills, self-advocacy, problem-solving, and setting SMART goals.
Walk away with tangible tips and resources to help you thrive in university life.

The practicalities
- We will have sighted guides at Birmingham New Street Station waiting to meet you at the passenger assistance office, and we will be leaving the station to make the 10-minute walk together to the venue at 11:30am.
- We will then return to New Street Station for 5:30pm for our returning trains.
- Please ensure to indicate your travel plans on the registration form.
- We will have sighted guides available during the event, however, you are welcome to bring a companion with you to the event to support you with your access requirements if you prefer. Please ensure to let us know if you are bringing a companion on the registration form.
- Lunch is provided.
- Please bring your own method for note-taking.
