LOOK is a charity, and our services are offered free of charge. We rely on public donations to keep going, and this is where you come in. Whether you or your family have been helped by LOOK, you volunteer for us, or you are completely new to our community, we would love you to get involved in the LOOK baking challenge. 

You could bake biscuits and cakes to sell at an event, on your doorstep, at your school or college, or even in your workplace. Hold a CHARITEA at home or in your community centre, featuring a cake and a cuppa, while you share why you are supporting LOOK.

You can team up with other members of the LOOK community, bake with friends, family, and colleagues, or go solo—it’s up to you!

Let your friends and family know what you’re doing for LOOK and why it matters.

It’s not just big banks and corporations that offer match funding—many smaller businesses like to support charity too. Let your boss or HR department know about your fundraising for LOOK, and ask if they would like to get involved. It’s usually a simple process, and the impact can be transformational! How your fundraising supports visually impaired young people.

£50 helps keep our support groups going, providing a life-line of community and connection - outline of two people talking with speech bubbles. £100 pays for an online forum or panel event, sharing expertise and experience, and top tips - image of an open hand with three people in them. £200 pays to train a new visually-impaired look mentor - image of the back of 2 people one with their arms around the others shoulders.

“I became a mentor because I don’t want other young people to experience the hard times I had as a child. I still face challenges of my own, but there have been plenty of amazing experiences too. I want young VI people to know they are incredible and have so much to give. Sharing what I’ve learned in life with my mentee allows me to give something back and help make a better world.
