Is your child visually impaired and eager to learn from others who have faced similar challenges? Or are you an education professional supporting visually impaired students in secondary school? If so, we are launching a series of workshops focused on tackling topics impacting VI young people at secondary school.
LOOK with support from Fight for Sight Vision Foundation will be hosting free workshops across London for young people aged 11 to 13 who are navigating school life. These workshops will cover a range of topics designed to empower VI young people and help them grow in confidence.
We believe that the best people to support visually impaired people are visually impaired people themselves. The LOOK London School workshops will be delivered by VI mentors and role models who will be sharing their lived experiences.

Meet the London School Workshop Mentor Team:
We have an incredible team of visually impaired mentors who will lead the London School workshops, discussing topics that impacted them at school and sharing lived experiences of their education journey.
Mentor Siham studied music at Solhill University and is currently working as a tutor. As well as music she loves travelling, theatre and food.
Mentor Lara loves spending time outdoors playing soundball tennis. Her other interests include reading and cooking.
Mentor Al is currently studying for an undergraduate in Psychology and a PG Certificate in Mental Health and Clinical Psychology. In his spare time, he loves listening to music, going to the gym and playing goalball.
Mentor Priscilla’s focus post-university is to go into the field of Public Relations and Communications specifically in the non-for-profit, third sector or public sector. She also enjoys creative writing and is part of the University Gospel Choir.
