We have a host of exciting events planned for our Media Mob. From creative workshops to hands-on experiences, discover what’s coming up below.

Tree Planting with Trees For Cities

📅 28th January – Tower Hamlets, London

Trees For Cities, Sensory Trust, the Tower Hamlets Habilitation Team, and LOOK UK have partnered to deliver a tree-planting session for primary-aged visually impaired children.

The session will help children explore nature through their non-visual senses while contributing to conservation for future generations. Bringing a LOOK UK mentor will foster a sense of community and show younger children that visual impairment is not a barrier to trying new activities or enjoying the outdoors.

Media Mob Content Creation

📅 31st January – Central London

LOOK UK’s social media team will take to the streets of London to create content that challenges perceptions of visual impairment. The project will amplify lived experiences, giving a voice to the visually impaired community while offering inspiration, strength, and validation to a wider audience.

Mentor Training Weekend

📅 13th – 15th February – Outdoor Education Centre

At the LOOK mentor training weekend, members of the Media Mob will be on hand to support the training sessions, share their own mentoring journeys, and capture the energy of the weekend. Documenting the weekend through real stories will bring the experience to life for us to share with the LOOK community.

Cook with LOOK

📅 21st February – Brixton, London

Cooking is about touch, smell, and taste; vision doesn’t need to define confidence or creativity in the kitchen. This one-day workshop for visually impaired young people builds skills and self-belief in a commercial kitchen, sharing practical tips, tricks, and hacks for creating great-tasting food.
