- The impact of educational tools on hallucinations in Charles Bonnet Syndrome – Research and results.
The discussion highlighted that Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) affects children as well as adults, but children may find it difficult to recognise or describe their symptoms. Hallucinations can be distressing and may interfere with daily life, particularly when individuals and families do not understand what is happening.
Panel members emphasised the need for greater education, research, and open conversations about CBS. Increased awareness will help ensure that children, families, and professionals can recognise CBS earlier and provide appropriate reassurance and support.
While there is currently no cure, practical strategies can help some people manage or reduce symptoms. Reliable information and support are available online at www.charlesbonnetsyndrome.uk.
