Every step taken by our runners helps fund real support for visually impaired young people and their families.
This year, our runners aren’t just aiming for a finish line. They’re amplifying voices, building confidence and showing that with the right support, anything is possible. They are everyday people taking on an extraordinary challenge, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
More Than a Race
When you support Team LOOK, your donation has a clear impact. It helps to:
- Provide one-to-one mentoring for visually impaired young people.
- Support families as they navigate sight loss.
- Create safe spaces where young people can build confidence and independence.
Our 2026 team includes runners of all abilities, from first-time marathon runners to two incredible supporters completing their 17th London Marathon for LOOK. Many of our runners come back year after year, showing their long-term commitment to the charity and the young people it supports.
Every runner is united by the same goal: making sure blind and partially sighted young people get the support they need to thrive.

Meet the LOOK 2026 London Marathon Team
Meet Laura: Running Her First London Marathon
I’m running the London Marathon for LOOK to help raise money for the amazing support they give to visually impaired young people and their families.
The furthest I’ve run so far is a half-marathon, but I’m training hard with my run club. The coaching and support from the group are helping me get ready for the full marathon.
I’m also inspired by my daughter, who works for LOOK, and the incredible difference she makes every day.
Meet Ben: Returning LOOK Runner
After running for LOOK UK last year, I knew I wanted to do it again! The support I received from the team was amazing, and I loved being part of such a meaningful event while helping the charity.
I ran the London Marathon in 2025 and have also completed multiple half marathons and 10k races. I’m excited to take on the challenge again and raise money for LOOK’s incredible work.
Meet Pesh: LOOK London Marathon Pro!
I’ve been running the London Marathon for LOOK since 2010, making this my 16th consecutive marathon for the charity. As someone with a visual impairment myself, I deeply understand the importance of the work LOOK does, not just for individuals but for families and the wider community. The support they provide is vital, and grassroots charities like LOOK often don’t get the funding they truly deserve.
I feel incredibly honoured to play a small part in helping and supporting their amazing work.
Meet John: Running to Finish What I Started.
Two years ago, I ran the London Marathon, but six weeks before the race, I injured my knee. I feel like I have unfinished business with this course, so this year I’m combining my love of running with raising money and awareness for LOOK, a charity that does incredible work supporting visually impaired young people and their families.
This year, I’m running for LOOK alongside my friend Sean, who ran for LOOK in 2025. Together, we hope to make a difference for the charity and the young people it supports.
Meet Sean: The Comeback King!
I’m running the London Marathon because it’s an iconic event and a great way to raise vital funds for LOOK, a charity I really believe in.
I’ve completed three full marathons and ten half marathons, and I’m excited to take on this challenge while supporting a cause that makes a real difference.
I ran for LOOK in 2025 and was inspired by the charity’s work, so I’m proud to be running again this year.
Meet Lizanne: Running her 17th London Marathon for LOOK.
Lizanne has been running the London Marathon for LOOK every year since 2009!
I feel I have two obligations: to give blood and to raise funds for charities supporting disabled people who do not have the ability to make legal claims. LOOK does fantastic work supporting young blind and partially sighted people to thrive, and I am so happy to be running my 17th consecutive London Marathon for LOOK.
Meet Phillip: Running For A Cause
I’ve always dreamed of running the London Marathon, the pinnacle of running events, and this year I’m combining that dream with raising money for LOOK, a fantastic charity supporting visually impaired young people.
I’ve been a keen runner for many years and have completed several marathons, ultra marathons, and half marathons.
My uncle was recently diagnosed with glaucoma, which has made me even more determined to support LOOK and the work they do.
Meet Catherine: Taking on Her First London Marathon for LOOK.
I’m excited to represent LOOK in the 2026 London Marathon. My best friend is visually impaired, and I’ve seen firsthand the challenges she faces when daily life isn’t accessible. LOOK has made a real difference in her life, helping her not only cope but also support others with sight loss.
I used to run regularly, but stopped due to injury. Recently, I picked it up again as a hobby, and now I’m combining my love of running with raising money for such a valuable charity.
Meet Angela: Running London with Purpose.
I was born in London, grew up in Malaysia, and now live in the U.S., so running London feels very special. Running has always been my way to find hope and focus, especially as a visually impaired person.
I’ve completed several 10Ks, marathons, and ultras, and London would be my 8th marathon. After losing my brother, running has given me a reason to live fully and do something meaningful.
I’m proud to run for LOOK and help raise awareness and funds for visually impaired young people.
Meet Jess: Turning a Love of Running into Support for LOOK.
I’m Jess, a 27-year-old International Programme Manager and LOOK mentor. Running has always been a passion, and I’m excited to take on the London Marathon in 2026. I’ve been running for 10 years, enjoying 10Ks, half marathons, and parkruns. As someone who is severely sight impaired, running has been an accessible way to stay fit and push myself, and I’m proud to raise funds for LOOK while doing it.
Meet Andy: Running for LOOK and Family.
Hi, I’m Andy, a keen runner from Surrey. I’ve lived with sight in only one eye since birth, and my cousin Maria, who has been blind since her teenage years, has benefited from the support of LOOK. The charity has helped her overcome barriers and achieve her goals.
I’ve completed half marathons in the UK and abroad, and a full marathon in Dublin in 2017. I’m excited to run the London Marathon alongside my aunt Laura, raising funds for LOOK.
Meet Jessica: From Chicago to London, Running to Support LOOK.
I’m from Chicago and have run the Chicago Marathon twice. A friend inspired me to take on the London Marathon and introduced me to LOOK. I’m excited to run and raise funds for this important cause.
Meet Felipe: Running to Give Back.
I’m Felipe, a businessman and runner who began running to overcome obesity. I’ve completed seven marathons, including four majors, and London will be my final Major, completing the Six Stars journey. I am deeply committed to giving back. Running has transformed my life, and I want to use it to transform the lives of others.
I’m proud to run for LOOK, supporting young people with visual impairments, giving this milestone even greater purpose.
Meet Chris: Running to Support LOOK.
I’m Chris, and I have retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye condition. I wanted to run the London Marathon because I enjoy fitness challenges and wanted to support the amazing work that LOOK UK does.
Sprinting used to be my favourite form of running, but in recent years I’ve taken on longer races, and this will be my first marathon. I’ve been a LOOK mentor since 2018 and continue to support the charity in any way I can.
Meet Sean: Chasing a Personal Best for LOOK.
My name is Sean, and I’m a keen runner. I ran the London Marathon in 2024, finishing in 3 hours 56 minutes, and this year I’m determined to beat that time. I’m excited to take on the challenge again while raising funds for LOOK and supporting the amazing work they do.
