LOOK are heading to Jamie’s Farm again for five days from Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August 2023.

Come and experience life on Jamie’s Farm where we will live, work, eat and support each other as a family. Step out of your comfort zone – learn, grow, and make friends for life.
You will take an active role in all aspects of running the farm in one to one sessions and small group sessions with highly skilled adults doing things like cooking and preparing meals, feeding and caring for the animals, planting and harvesting from the garden and much more.
But don’t just take our word for it, watch this video to see what our Jamie’s Farm crew got up to last summer.

What to Expect
Jamie’s Farm’s unique combination of farming, family and therapy offers an environment where young people are respected, and are given opportunities to display their talents and show responsibility. Throughout the week you will be supported by our team of four LOOK Mentors – visually impaired adult volunteers with a wide range of backgrounds, interests and life experiences. Some of the young people who attended our first ever summer residential at Jamie’s Farm had this to say about their experience:
“Since coming to Jamie’s Farm I am more open to speaking to others; more positive and confident in myself,” says Romilly, age 13.
“Thank you so much for allowing me to have such an amazing time not just learning new skills, but also finding new positives in myself that I never knew I had, like making many new friends.” Megan, 17
And 15 year old Elliot says:
“I genuinely think coming to Jamie’s Farm changed my life! I absolutely loved it!”
LOOK Mentors, alongside LOOK Team and Jamie’s Farm staff will be by your side at all times to support and encourage you to have a great time and make the most of this unique opportunity.
“After being at Jamie’s Farm I feel more positive about the future and also that there are other people who are like me and face the same challenges as me.” Billy, 13
We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to Jamie’s Farm! And your parents will love it too. Here’s what one mum had to say:
“My 17 year old daughter has had the most wonderful week at Jamie’s farm. There are so many memories she made; she spoke of your wisdom, kindness , her joy at looking after the animals, cooking and overcoming her fear of climbing. She has certainly challenged herself. She has taken away so much from her time away which I have no doubt she will use in different aspects of her life in the years to come. We cannot thank the staff at look, the wonderful mentor’s and of course the Jamie’s farm team enough for making this unique opportunity possible.”
