From fun mystery scenarios and tricky puzzles to teamwork and decision-making, the LOOK Escape the Room Challenge offers a hands-on experience that will help you build your self-advocacy ‘toolkit’.

What to Expect
- Meet the LOOK Team & Mentors: We’ll kick off the session by introducing you to the mentors and facilitators who will guide you through the entire experience.
- Icebreaker Fun! We’ll start with some lighthearted icebreakers, whether you’re shy or outgoing, we’ll create a relaxed and welcoming space to ease into the day!
- Self-Advocacy Discussion: What does self-advocacy mean to you? As a group we’ll discuss how to recognise and practice self-advocacy, exploring techniques and tips on speaking up for yourself in different situations.
Escape the Room Challenge
Now, it’s time for the fun to begin! In this interactive Escape the Room challenge, you’ll work with your team to solve puzzles, think creatively and use clear communication to navigate through obstacles. Through each challenge, you’ll learn how to overcome barriers to communication and build trust within your team.
As you tackle the challenge, we’ll help you develop practical strategies and tools for self-advocacy. Think of it as building your personal toolkit to help you express yourself with confidence in any situation.
At the end, we’ll come together to reflect on everything we’ve learned. You’ll have the opportunity to share your experience, and how you plan to apply the communication skills and self-advocacy strategies you’ve learnt in your everyday life.
